Clayton Church Homes is proud to achieve 50 years of aged care services, reaching this significant milestone on 28 April 2018.

As part of the 50 Years celebrations, the first of the Commemorative Tree Planting Ceremonies occurred at our Prospect site on 15 May 2018. This was a very successful event attended by residents, families and staff. Chairman Brian Hern, participated in the tree planting and cutting of the cake ceremonies, along with long-standing resident Valerie Olsson, and long-serving staff member, Jenny Rose.

In recognition of this significant milestone, Clayton Church Homes has produced a 50 year history publication which is available for purchase. Contact the office of the CEO on 08 8404 8200 to secure a copy.

The early beginnings of Clayton Church Homes arose from discussions in February 1965 by members of the Clayton Congregational Church. Information soon became available on potential Commonwealth Government funding for the establishment of a home for the aged and land was subsequently purchased on Beulah Road in 1966. The official opening of Clayton Church Homes occurred on 28 April 1968. Note: The Clayton Congregational Church amalgamated with Wesley Methodist to become Clayton Wesley Uniting Church.

We look forward to continuing our celebrations throughout the year with  commemorative Tree Planting Ceremonies each of our sites.
