Costs

We will guide you through the process of accessing support and services, including associated costs.

Commonwealth Approved Home Care Packages

If you choose to take up a Home Care Package through My Aged Care, the costs are:

  • based on your financial situation
  • calculated through an Income and Assets Assessment with Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

If you are deemed to have financial capacity, the Government will seek a contribution towards the cost of your home care services.

Fees

Fees are calculated in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997 and User Rights Principles 2014 and will not exceed 17.5% of your total pension (for single and married clients), if you are receiving the basic pension.

If your income is more than the basic rate of the single pension, you will be required to pay an Income-Tested Fee which is calculated by Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). There are fee caps that limit the amount you can contribute to care annually.

Clayton Church Homes will provide you with information from the Government on these fees and guide you through this complex process.

You can also view a current Home Care Price List.

Help paying the fees

We understand that some circumstances may make it difficult to pay the fees for care and support. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, we can assist you to negotiate the Home Care Package fees.

We are here to support you in every way possible.

Changes in Fees

Fees are revised twice per year in line with adjustments made by the Government to the Aged Care Pension with consideration to your ability to pay. Your contribution will be agreed upon prior to commencement of services between yourself and Clayton Church Homes, once support requirements are assessed.

If you are financially disadvantaged, you are still eligible for services and a nominal fee will be agreed upon. No client will be denied a service if they are unable to pay.

Fee For Service Support

We can provide home care services and support, separate to the Government-subsidies process and without the need for a doctor’s referral.

This may be a good option for you to receive immediate help and support while waiting for your government-subsidised Home Care Package to be approved.

Call us for a confidential and obligation free discussion on 0437 954 452 or email homecare@claytonhomes.com.au

We will provide you with comprehensive personalised information, including associated costs for your individual financial situation.

Paying your fees

  • Clayton Church Homes will provide you with an invoice at the end of each month
  • You can make payment via direct debit or electronic funds transfer
  • Our staff do not collect cash money for payment of support fees

With Clayton Church Homes, you will be supported, be independent, be respected and Be You.
