Clayton Church Homes – Extended Care Unit (The Lodge) & Hungarian Hostel (The Villa)
Norwood Hostel
Opening in 1968 the Norwood Hostel is a low care facility providing services to 83 residents located at 148 Beulah Road, Norwood.
The Hostel features a central administration, dining and activities area flanked by two double storey wings of 40 residents each. Both wings contain their own dining and common lounge area with all rooms having en suite bathrooms. Other services include, hairdressing facilities and small shop opened twice weekly.
Admission to this facility as either a permanent or respite resident requires the completion of an application package and a current Aged Care Assessment (ACAT) form. Receipt of the application package and ACAT form will see the prospective residents name placed on our current waiting list.
Visiting the facility can be arranged by contacting the Site Manager.
Extended Care Unit & Hungarian Hostel
Clayton Church Homes Extended Care Unit (The Lodge) opened on September 25th 1994 to provide specialised services to 19 dementia care residents located at 2-6 Percival Street, Norwood.
The Lodge consists of single rooms with en suites, lounge, dining and communal areas along with secure outdoor garden areas that create a quiet relaxed atmosphere for the residents.
Clayton Church Homes – Hungarian Hostel (The Villa) provides low care services within a facility of 5 single rooms with en suites, lounge areas, dining and a kitchenette.
Located at 28 Queen Street, Norwood The Villa is staffed by Hungarian speaking staff with some traditional meals being served plus decor of a Hungarian feel adding to the atmosphere and comfort of the home.
Admission to the Lodge and Villa requires completion of the application package and a current Aged Care Assessment (ACAT) form. Completed packages and ACAT forms should be forwarded to the Site Manager for inclusion on the current waiting list.
Relocation of our Norwood facilities is currently being planned to a site at Magill.
The Board of Management has engaged Connor Holmes Pty Ltd as Development and Project Managers, Matthews Architect as the designers with a scheduled date for relocation of residents being December 2008.
